Join us on the water from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. for a Seagrass Survey! As part of the Florida Oceanographic Seagrass Training Education Restoration (FOSTER) Program, volunteers document short and long-term trends in seagrass health and determine how those trends are attributable to changes in environmental conditions on a monthly basis.
Meet in the Florida Oceanographic and Coastal Center parking lot. Wear closed toe shoes; bring a mask and snorkel (weight belt if you have one). Ideally, volunteers will have experience snorkeling and be willing to learn how to identify and measure seagrass species. Please RSVP here or contact Katie Tiling for more information. Katie Tiling may be reached by phone at 772-225-0505 ext. 114 or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
